Jill Horner
Since beginning my nursing career in 2014, I have had the opportunity to grow through different roles spanning acute care, nursing leadership, professional development, and nurse wellness. My experience includes serving as an inpatient Staff RN, Charge RN, Nursing Administrative Manager, and Nurse Wellness Program Manager. I currently serve as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, where I support the growth and development of nurses through education, mentorship, coaching, and evidence-based professional development initiatives.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from George Mason University in May 2020. My doctoral education strengthened my leadership, evidence-based practice, and organizational development skills and continues to shape my approach to nursing professional development and education.
I am passionate about empowering nurses to reach their professional goals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and creating meaningful opportunities for growth. My background in nurse wellness also provides a unique perspective on the connection between professional development, well-being, engagement, and professional satisfaction.
